Static Electricity Fires
Patrick Kennedy of Sarasota Florida is one of
the nation’s foremost fire experts. Due
to Dixon Truman & Fisher's national
reputation for representing victims of static
electricity fires, Mr. Kennedy recently referred
a Montana case to the firm. The plaintiff, from
Townsend, Montana, was badly burned while filling
gas cans in the back of his GMC truck lined with
a plastic bed liner. Static electricity ignited
the gas fumes, starting a fire that destroyed
two vehicles at the gas station. General Motors
Corporation and Exxon are both primary defendants
in the case.
